I love trees and mountains, and trees are something there is precious little of in Scotland's Highlands, except for isolated remnants of the old Caledonian Pine Forest and modern plantations; but if Trees for Life is successful, then future generations may once again enjoy the Wood of Caledon.

More power to the 'Trees for Life's' collective elbows as we need more of this type of activity to redress the balance in the environment. Too many trees are being felled worldwide, and as a result the climate is suffering.
Sadly, as is all too often the case, we need governments to get involved as it's only they who can stop the individuals and businesses gaining from the felling of trees. The problem is, when governments need to be involved in anything it either doesn't happen or, if it does, it's an unmitigated cock-up!
