Dundreggan Biodiversity Discovery Day

Sunday 14th July 2013

Dear friend,
I am delighted to invite you to Trees for Life’s Biodiversity Day at Dundreggan, near Loch Ness. 2013 marks the fifth anniversary of our purchase of Dundreggan, and to
celebrate this we have planned a full programme of events so you can see at first hand just how much Trees for Life has achieved with your support.
You can explore Dundreggan from river bank to mountain summit – or simply enjoy the ancient woodlands and fascinating biodiversity activities in and around Dundreggan Lodge. Our enthusiastic experts and staff will be offering a fantastic programme, including:

Morning activities:

Feeding our wild boar

Woodland wildflower guided walk

Mountain wildlife trek - look out for red deer and eagles!

Midday

Launch of the exciting new Mountain Woodland Project

Afternoon

Guided tour of rare mountain woodlands

Up-close-to-nature biodiversity walk with Alan Watson Featherstone

Wildflower meadow guided walk

All day activities

Conservation activities in our tree nursery

Pond dipping

Biodiversity games and adventures for children

Lunch and all-day refreshments will be available.
Dundreggan is open to everyone so please bring your family and friends, and all activities will be free of charge.

This web site is about the wildlife, particularly the mammals, of the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve area in the north west Highlands of Scotland, UK; and the equipment I use to search for them, which is chiefly trail cameras.

I provide a technical support and parts service for the Ltl Acorn range of cameras and the income from this provides for the upkeep of this site and the purchase of cameras for my own surveying.

I hope you find the site useful and informative; and please contact me if you have any questions that I haven't already covered.
