Sponsor an Acre at Dundreggan to restore wild forest in the Scottish Highlands.

Dundreggan is a very special place, with wildflower meadows and aspen woods

along the River Moriston, rising through ancient Caledonian pinewoods
to the mires, lochans and heathlands on the higher mountain slopes.

With your donation of £5 per month, you can
Sponsor an Acre at Dundreggan
to restore a beautiful wild forest in the Scottish Highlands.

Five years ago, Trees for Life's supporters helped to buy Dundreggan, a 10,000 acre expanse of wild land near Loch Ness, to restore native woodlands and wildlife habitats in this spectacular region of the Highlands.

The richness and diversity of wildlife we've found at Dundreggan is astonishing. Over 2,800 species have been discovered, with some found nowhere else in the UK.

This wonderful variety of wildlife results from the diversity of habitats at Dundreggan. Sadly, having been managed previously as a sporting estate, few of these habitats are in good condition. To restore and expand them will take long-term conservation action and sustained funding.

That's why I'm asking you to protect and restore Dundreggan's precious wildlife and wild land by Sponsoring an Acre.

Please help to transform Dundreggan for wildlife by Sponsoring an Acre today.

With your gift of £5 per month, or a one-off donation of £60 for each acre you sponsor, you can help to:
-
Expand Caledonian pinewoods for red squirrel, pine marten, wood ants and the Scottish wildcat.
-
Create woodland glades and wildflower meadows for strawberry spider, butterflies and bees.
-
Protect montane woodlands for upland birds and rare insects.
-
Restore wetlands and mires for water voles, dragonflies and damselflies.
-
Link native woodlands across the region to create forest habitat networks where wildlife can roam freely again.
You can sponsor an acre in three simple ways:
-
-
By phone on 0845 458 3505.
-
By posting a cheque to Trees for Life, The Park, Forres, Moray, IV36 3TZ.
To thank you for sponsoring an acre, we'll send you a beautiful photographic print of Dundreggan and regular updates about the conservation work you make possible.

With your support, we can build on the progress we've made over the past five years and restore a beautiful wild forest in the Scottish Highlands.

The Lapland marsh orchid and small pearl-bordered fritillary are two of Dundreggan's rare species.

Dundreggan's ancient birchwoods and open hillsides need careful management for wildlife.

The strawberry spider is one of the rare and special species that you will help to conserve.

Your support will help to ensure these overgrazed birch seedlings can grow into new woodlands.

Sponsor an acre and we'll send you this beautiful photographic print of the forest at Dundreggan.

Yours sincerely,
ALAN WATSON FEATHERSTONE
Executive Director
